The Biology of Belief, 10th Anniversary Edition. Author Bruce H. Lipton is a cell biologist. The book argues that what shapes the quality of a life isn’t our genes but how our cells respond to signals from their environment — we are not biochemical machines run by DNA, powerless to intervene.
When the first edition appeared, mainstream science was still uneasy with the word “mind,” let alone “spirit.” Lipton chose not to sidestep it, drawing on epigenetics, cell biology, medicine and quantum physics to move into territory biology does not usually enter.
